In case you ever wanted to play Exploding Kittens on the go, here's your chance: the popular card game gets digitized and arrives on iOS devices this week.

Created by the minds behind web comic site The Oatmeal, the multiplayer card game broke several records with its Kickstarter campaign last year by meeting its $10,000 goal in only eight minutes. Eventually, it ended up with over 200,000 backers and over $8 million in donations, making it one of the biggest game campaigns in Kickstarter history.

But what is the game about? Here's the official description from the Exploding Kittens official website:

"It is a highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette. Players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game — unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens."

The cards also feature artwork in the humorous style made famous by The Oatmeal. Also, reviews of the game are mostly positive.

"You will love the kittens and hilarious notes on the cards," wrote Board Game King about the card game. "The rules of the game are simple, and the explanation will take minutes, you will learn to play and start playing right away. The deck size is enough for the game to go on for some time. The simplicity of the game and the attractive design guarantee it will be a hit for parties."

Although the physical version of the game runs around $20, the iOS version will only cost $1.99 in Apple's App Store. Players can also pay extra in microtransactions to customize their in-game avatars. The mobile version of the game allows for up to five players in the same room.

Exploding Kittens for IOS arrives on Jan. 21. Unfortunately, for those on Android devices, there's no word on if or when the game will become available there.
