For their 20th anniversary, MojoTouch has relaunched the Flight of the Amazon Queen, which was originally released for MS-DOS and the Amiga in 1995. The point-and-shoot game is now available as an Android-friendly experience.

This Indiana Jones-style adventure was available as freeware all this while till its makers decided to re-release it on PC and introduce on Android. However, the old users can still have a go at it in its original "retro" mode without any additions whatsoever. The game can currently be downloaded for free from Good Old Games.

Flight of the Amazon Queen is a classic drama, made Hollywood-style, featuring Faye Russel, the starlet, who wants to complete a photo shoot in the jungles of Amazon, and thus takes the help of pilot Joe King to get there. But as she ends up getting kidnapped, it falls upon the pilot to rescue her and get her out of the jungles. The storyline covers over 100 locations and 40 characters, including the tribes of Amazonians and Pygmies, and hurdles in the form of a mad scientist aiming to dominate the world, native warriors, and an ominous temple.

All of the characters have voice acting, which includes some big names like William Hootkins of Star Wars fame, British actress Penelope Keith, Tom Hill, and Brad Lavelle, among many others. The Android version now boasts of new game play controls that were created from the scratch for touchscreens, "hotspots" to remove the trouble of pixel hunting, faster save/load system, three options for musical backgrounds, as well as a new mode for HD graphics.

The adventure game also includes the following additional features: The Official Playing Guide, The Making of Booklet, Original EU and US Manuals, and Interview Mini-Game featurette with Commentary by Game Creator. Google Play now lists the Flight of the Amazon Queen at a flat rate of $3.99.
