Anyone who follows Mark Hamill on social media already knows that he's a guy with a good sense of humor, and has no problem making fun of himself.

So, when Hamill appeared in a video to promote Force for Change — a project that raises funds for several different charities — he used humor to joke around about his performance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Luke Skywalker, Hamill's character in that film, only appears at the end of the movie and doesn't have any dialogue. So, in the Force for Change video, when asked to say something by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, Hamill just says, "Oh, I'm sorry, I have dialogue? I'm used to just staring intensely."

Force for Change, which launched on Tuesday and will run through May 4 (Star Wars Day), seeks to raise funds from Star Wars fans to go to a variety of charities. Fans can choose which charities to donate to, including the American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Unicef USA. A minimum donation is $10, but beyond that, fans can choose to give whatever they like.

Fans who donate also have a chance at winning a grand prize: a trip to Ireland to visit Skellig Michael, the location where Hamill shot his infamous The Force Awakens staring scene. The campaign will also give away a signed copy of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray.

The launch of Force for Change accompanies the home video release of The Force Awakens on DVD and Blu-ray. Meanwhile, production for Star Wars: Episode VIII continues, which will welcome Hamill back as Luke, along with his fellow castmates Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie and Andy Serkis. Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro will also join the film.

Although Episode VIII isn't scheduled to hit theaters until the end of 2017, the next Star Wars movie, Rogue One, arrives this year on Dec. 16 and will take fans back to before the first movie, A New Hope, as it follows a band of resistance fighters out to steal the plans for the Death Star.
