Late last year, Bethesda marketing executive Pete Hines explained the importance of making Fallout 4 mods on the PC available to console players. These mods will be made possible through the upcoming Fallout 4 Creation Kit, which is the tool that will allow PC modders to sculpt Fallout 4 as they see fit.

The Fallout 4 Creation Kit is now in its private beta. However, it seems that Bethesda is willing to open up the testing to more users.

In a post in the official Bethesda online community forum, Bethesda said that it is looking to expand the private beta of the modding tool, which will only be available for Windows PC.

For gamers interested in participating in the Fallout 4 Creation Kit beta, they will first have to sign up for the DLC beta through a link provided. Signing up includes agreeing to a non-disclosure agreement for the software. Afterwards, a simple YES reply was needed to be posted on the thread.

The bad news? After over 1,000 YES posts, Bethesda has closed the thread for the time being. Gamers that were able to send signals of their intention to participate in the beta will have to wait for a private message that will inform them if they have been selected to participate.

With the thread closed "for the time being," it could mean that Bethesda will once again open up the Fallout 4 Creation Kit beta testing for more interested gamers in the future. For those that missed the opportunity, it would be best to keep an eye out for more posts such as this that the video gaming company could post on its forums.

The final version of the Fallout 4 Creation Kit will launch sometime this month, though a specific date has not yet been posted by Bethesda. With the expansion of beta testing, it could signal that the launch is drawing nearer, or perhaps that the release of the software will be slightly delayed.
