The Nexus 9 device from HTC is believed to be a premium device that will have attractive features. It's expected to have an aluminium zero-gap built which can compete with the iPad Mini that has Retina Display. Moreover, it is said to look so much better than its older siblings.

Various rumors suggest that the Nexus 9 features a larger display of 8.9 inches with a 2048 by 1440 resolution. The device will be running on Nvidia Logan processor of 64 bits which is otherwise known as Tegra K1. It will also have a RAM of 2GB, storage options of 16 and 32 GB, OIS main camera of 8MP, front camera of 3MP and Android L.

With an added feature of LTE, the new Nexus 9 could weigh somewhere between 418 and 427 grams. The dimension is given at 8.9 by 5.98 by 0.31 inches.

The launching of the Nexus 9 by HTC is unknowingly revealed by Nvidia when it filed a patent lawsuit against Samsung and Qualcomm. Nvidia claims that the two tech companies have infringed seven of its GPU patents. In one part of the lawsuit, Nvidia says that the HTC Nexus 9 is powered by the Tegra 1 processor and is speculated to launch in the third quarter of the year.

It also described the Tegra K1 as a powerful mobile processor. For this reason, Tegra K1 is not only used in tablets and smartphones but in other devices as well. Some of these include Acer's Chromebook PC and Lenovo's Terminator S9 which is a 4K Smart TV that measures 50 inches. Additionally, the Tegra K1 powers the new Project Tango Development Kit of Google which is a tablet PC that can track and map 3D enhanced environments. In order to achieve this, the device makes more than a quarter million 3D measurements for every second which enables it to understand space and motion on a human-scale.

While it's highly unlikely that the Nexus 9 from HTC is releasing in this year's 3rd quarter, HTC is holding a New York event that is scheduled on Oct. 8. The event's ad, which has a tagline that says "double Exposure" doesn't really say a lot on what people can expect.

The rumored HTC Nexus 9 also has a leaked AnTuTu benchmark results that shows the device earning a score of 45,923. The rating suggests that the tablet device is packed with an amazing performance. Like its older sibling, the HTC Nexus 9 is said to come in two versions -- a WiFi only iteration and an LTE model.
