Xbox 360 users who are taking part in Microsoft's Games with Gold service, can now download Halo: Reach free of charge. The title, which previously cost $25, is one of the most notable free games Microsoft has given way ever since the company kicked Games with Gold into gear.

Halo fans who never got around playing Reach, can now download Bungie's fifth and final title set in the Halo universe. No doubt this game is one of the developer's best work, and it should also be a boon for those who are planning to purchase the Halo: Master Chief Collection since the game won't be bundled in the collection.

For those who are wondering why Halo: Reach won't be part of the Master Chief Collection, well, the Master Chief was not the protagonist in Reach; the story was centered around another character.

Halo: Reach was released back in 2010 for the Xbox 360, and it has gone on to become one of the best shooters of all time. Halo 4 was released three years after by another developer after Bungie left Microsoft to work on Destiny with Activision.

In terms of other video games in the Xbox Live store, Valliant Hearts for the Xbox 360 is now available at 50 percent off, and the same can be said for LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game. Furthermore, Metro Last Light and Metro 2033 are available in the store at 67 percent and 75 percent off respectively.

Folks who are yet to play these titles should take a look at this deal because it may take a long time before both games are on sale again. If not, bear in mind that Metro Redux is available on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It is basically both games in a single package with improved graphics, gameplay, and frame rates.

In addition, we should mention that Valliant Hearts is also available for the Xbox One, but only at 33 percent off.

Free games for Xbox One this month haven't been that exciting. Gamers are hoping that Microsoft will pick up the slack in October with some interesting titles that are worth downloading.
