Electronic Arts and Ghost Games announced Need For Speed Rivals Complete Edition, a bundle of games that includes the game from last year as well as six expansion packs.

The new game will go on sale on Oct. 21 and will make it to Xbox and PlayStation consoles and PC computers.

The expansion packs included are the Ferrari Edition Special Complete Pack, the Simply Jaguar Complete Pack, the Concept Lamborghini Complete Pack, the Koenigsegg Agear One, the Complete Movie Pack and the Loaded Garage Pack. Basically, the game will come with quite a selection of new cars.

The release of the pack of games is seen as a nod toward the fact that the EA will not be offering a new Need For Speed game in 2014, and instead are working on a new game for 2015.

"We've made the decision to not release a Need for Speed in 2014, so we can work towards a highly innovative Need for Speed in 2015," said the company in a statement. "An experience built on a foundation we know you'll greatly look forward to."

Despite the fact that the company is not planning on releasing a game this year, it is planning on a rather large release for next year.

"We are already deep in development on our next game and want to make this promise to you: we will listen to you," continued the company in a statement. "We're going to give you the game you've been asking for. It will be the game you deserve, but to do that will take us some time."

Electronic Arts did not mention anything about pricing of the game, but more details should be released in the near future. It's also unclear as to whether or not Electronic Arts will offer the game to those who have its subscription on Xbox One, but it is unlikely considering the fact that the standard version of the game was just released to EA Access at the start of the month.

Electronic Arts is expected to continue making announcements about the future of the Need For Speed games and is also open to user input.

"That doesn't mean we're going to go silent until then. From now on, you'll be hearing from us regularly because we need your help to shape the future of Need for Speed," read the statement. "We want your input on future gameplay and features we know you're passionate about. We will keep innovating, always making sure to continue the celebration of cars and the joy they bring."
