Prior to the official unveiling of Ubisoft's latest title Watch Dogs 2, details about the video game have popped up on the Web, revealing its release date and new setting.

A marketing material that appeared on IGN leaked that the release date for this game is on Nov. 15, 2016 and that the new setting is in San Francisco.

It seems that the website banner was (inadvertently) uploaded a day before the scheduled reveal of Watch Dogs 2 on June 8.

When site visitors click on the banner link, they are redirected to the official site for the game.

The ad has since been pulled from the site but not before Eurogamer.net took a screenshot.

This promotional material clearly shows the game's protagonist, who does not look like Aiden Pearce from the original Watch Dogs game. On top of that, the Golden Gate Bridge can also be seen in the background, which somehow corroborates previous rumors about the setting of the game.

In any case, we will likely know more details about this latest Ubisoft offering in the succeeding days leading up to this year's E3.

In related news, the game developer earlier confirmed that Watch Dogs 2 will be revealed at E3, which starts next week. Ubisoft said that the E3 celebrations will kick off at 1 p.m. PT on June 13.

Ubisoft fans who wish to witness this much-anticipated event will be able to stream press briefing live via the company's YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels.

Apart from revealing the hotly awaited Watch Dogs 2, the developer will also lift the veils off its other games Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands and For Honor. Ubisoft will likewise dish out a slew of surprises during the show.

This video game, which the company rolled out in May 2014, was developed for various platforms, including Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Windows.
