A new deal for the unlocked dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy S7 Duos is available, as the smartphone is on sale for $499.99 with limited quantities available.
After years of criticism for the cheap plastic used in the build of its flagship Galaxy S smartphones, Samsung pleased its critics when it launched the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge at Mobile World Congress 2015. The pair has a premium glass and metal design that scored high marks with reviewers, but with that praise also came more criticism.
Unlike each previous generation of Galaxy S smartphones, Samsung removed both the user-swappable battery and microSD expansion slot, forcing users to be tied to whatever internal storage configuration they chose with the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.
At Mobile World Congress 2016, Samsung made up for last year's omission in the microSD expansion slot department on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. While it couldn't bring back a removable battery, it was able to add a popular feature from the Galaxy S5.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge stood out from their rivals by being both waterproof and dust-resistant. The company is expected to add this feature to its upcoming Galaxy Note 7, which will be unveiled on Aug. 2 at an Unpacked event.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Duos, as its name implies, is a dual-SIM smartphone and has a 5.1-inch 2,560 by 1,440 Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a density of 577 pixels per inch (ppi). The handset includes 32 GB of internal storage and microSD expansion slot that will support up to 200 GB cards. It's powered by an octa-core Exynos 8890 chipset, Mali-T880 GPU (graphics processing unit) and 4 GB of RAM.
The Galaxy S7 Duos features a 12 megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilization), ability to capture 4K video at 30 fps, and selfie fans will appreciate its front-facing 5 megapixel camera. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Samsung TouchWiz UI.
A favorite feature of the Galaxy S7 Duos is its ability to be both waterproof and dust-resistant, thanks to its IP68 certification, and its large, non-removable 3,000 mAh battery will provide up to 22 hours of talk time, fast battery charging, which can provide up to a 83 percent charge in 30 minutes, and Qi/PMA wireless charging built in. Its dimensions come in at 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9 millimeters (5.61 x 2.74 x 0.31 inches) and it weighs 152 grams (5.36 ounces).
