Season 5 of The Walking Dead will kick off on Oct. 12, 2014, and fans are overexcited about which characters from the comic will make an appearance. Rumors have it that the ruthless Negan might finally appear, but who is fit to play the character?

From what we've come to understand, it appears Kevin Durand from that vampire TV show that no one is watching, The Strain, could be the man to play Negan in The Walking Dead, season 5.

For all those who are unaware, Negan is one of the most ruthless and vile villains in The Walking Dead. He is the leader of a place called Sanctuary, and most of the women living there along with former wives and girlfriends are all used as Negan's sex slaves.

The man has a sexual appetite that has never before seen in a human male. We have to wonder how he's still alive and manage to become the leader of what some are calling a cult.

While Negan is dangerous, he's not as murderous as The Governor. He's a more sane man who did not succumb to the madness of this zombified world. Instead, he chooses to fill his surroundings with women and regular sex.

During a press conference about The Strain, Nuke The Fridge reported that Kevin Durand claimed that he was approached by folks from The Walking Dead about the Negan role. Durand did not mention whether or not he was interested in the role, and if he will show up in the season down the line.

"I've had a lot of people with The Walking Dead talk to me, mentioned that they see me for a character named 'Negan,' but I haven't read the comic," says Durand at the press conference.

We find Kevin Durand as a very capable actor. We liked him in Lost, and although we're not big fans of The Strain, we like him in that too. If the Walking Dead producers do choose to bring Durand into the family, we'd be fine with it, as the actor is more than good enough for this role.

However, there's one thing fans of the comics have been wondering. You see, Negan is a person who loves to flaunt the "F" word a lot, so what is the plan to bypass the profanity, but still stay true to the character.
