Just in time for New York Comic-Con, Marvel has announced a discounted price for its Marvel Unlimited Plus subscription service, which gives readers access to more than 15,000 digitized comics online. Normally a year of Marvel Unlimited Plus costs $99, but they're knocking $30 off the price as part of a special NYCC promotion.

In addition to the discount, Marvel is giving new subscribers a "2015 Member Premium" package that includes some goodies that will be of particular interest to Guardians of the Galaxy fans. They include:
• A Rocket Raccoon figurine from Hasbro's Marvel Legends line
• Rocket Raccoon #1 and #2 variant comic books
• 15-percent discounts on digital comic purchases and 10-percent off Marvel merchandise
• Invitations to exclusive member events

It should be noted that the Rocket Raccoon figure from Hasbro is from the 2013 Marvel Legends series. Curiously, the only way to acquire this Rocket figure up until now has been to collect all five figures in that series. Each figure came with a few pieces of Rocket, which owners could put together themselves after buying the whole collection. Some stores value the full collection at as high as $260.
