Apple's new Jet Black iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are extremely popular with consumers and remain sold out at Apple's online store. A new report claims the company is supposedly planning to introduce a new Jet White color option.

When Apple officially took the wraps off the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at its September event, the company introduced two new color options, Black and Jet Black, and as expected, the new hues are proving to be extremely popular with customers.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have driven record sales at both Sprint and T-Mobile, due in large part to free iPhone 7 deals being offered from all major carriers.

iPhone 7 And iPhone 7 Plus Color Options

Apple's flagship iPhone 7 series offers users five color options in total: Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Black and Jet Black. We recently reported that iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus availability has improved on some models, while some color models and color options are stretching into the holiday season. If a new report is to be believed, Apple may be considering adding a sixth color choice to its latest iPhones.

Jet White iPhone 7 And iPhone 7 Plus On The Way?

Macotakara is reporting that Apple supply chain sources claim that the company is planning to introduce a new Jet White color option for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Jet Black iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models remain completely sold out at Apple's online store. It certainly seems plausible that the company would want to capitalize upon the success of the Jet Black option with a similarly glossy white hue.

Although the report does not indicate when Apple is expected to introduce a new Jet White iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the introduction will likely lead to increased sales, as the color is exclusive to the iPhone 7 series and lets the world know that the owner is carrying the latest and greatest iPhone.

The source claims that although it has received this news tip, the information "may be unreliable." It's also worth noting, pun intended, Samsung's Blue Coral Galaxy Note 7, which was exclusive to the Note 7, was in such high demand at launch that customers ordering the smartphone faced several weeks' delays. As to not waste a color choice that proved to be immensely popular, Samsung has announced it will release a Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge in November, and AT&T has begun taking preorders for the device.

The image above is not an official Jet White iPhone 7 Plus but does give you an idea of what the smartphone may look like if Apple releases the new glossy white color choice.
