Samsung announced the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge beta program for developing Android 7.0 Nougat in some parts of the world in early November. The company is now rolling out a new version of Android 7.0 Nougat beta built for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge.

Android Nougat is Google's latest mobile operating system and it was released in August. Currently, the new OS is available only to a select number of Android mobile devices; however, it is expected to reach more smartphones in the coming months.

According to a SamMobile report, the third beta update has started rolling out in the UK and it is expected to be released in other parts of the world soon.

Features Of Android 7.0 Nougat Beta 3 Built

The new update is more focused on bug fixes and enhancements. Beta testers will not see many new features in the new update as previous betas have introduced a number of novel features and improvements.

Android 7.0 Nougat Beta 3 for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge has improved Quick Panel usability. It brings a 4x3 button layout, brightness color menu, button grid menu and more.

The latest beta has also improved spacing between the clock and the status bar icon. Beta testers will also note improvements made to the multi-window, lock screen and notifications. The update removes Edge feeds and improves overall stability of the device.

Previous Issues Not Fixed

Several previous issues such as Wi-Fi disconnection, screen turning on issues and more have not been fixed in the update. Reports suggest that these issues remain unresolved as Samsung has not been able to find the cause of the problems.

It is likely that Samsung will release another beta for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge, which will resolve these issues.

The update is available as a manual download and beta testers should note that the new update will change the software version to G935FXXU1ZPKK. The update weighs about 300 MB.
