Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, the latest expansion for Hearthstone, is now available, adding 132 new cards to the popular digital trading card game.

It is too early to say which cards from Mean Streets of Gadgetzan will warp the competitive scene or spawn new kinds of decks. However, here are some of the cards that have already caught the attention of Hearthstone players as possibly the best ones in the new set.

Alleycat

Alleycat looks like an innocent common card. However, cards such as Alleycat are important in shaping the meta, and players already know the strength of two 1/1 minions on turn one is from the Living Roots spell of the Druid class.

Dragonfire Potion

Players have long clamored for Blizzard to buff the much-maligned Priest class, and cards like Dragonfire Potion are steps in the right direction. The spell will increase the viability of Dragon Priest decks, as it addresses the problem that Priest decks have in facing a full board of enemy minions.

Wickerflame Burnbristle

Featuring one of the best combination of abilities in the game with Divine Shield and Taunt, Wickerflame Burnbristle is a very versatile Paladin legendary minion that can fit into any kind of deck for the class. The dwarf minion protects players, heals them, trades with enemy minions and even acts as a difficult-to-remove threat.

Aya Blackpaw

The power of Aya Blackpaw depends on how well the Jade Golem mechanic turns out, but early impressions reveal that the mechanic is definitely a strong one.

Each Jade Golem summoned in a game becomes stronger, so the first Jade Golem is a 1/1, the second Jade Idol is a 2/2 and so forth. It would probably be normal for Aya Blackpaw to summon a 3/3 Jade Golem with its Battlecry ability and then a 4/4 Jade Golem with its Deathrattle ability, which is amazing value for a 6-cost 5/3 minion.

Inkmaster Solia

This legendary minion could single-handedly push Reno Mage decks into the upper tiers because of the tremendous tempo swings that the card offers. Giving Mage players a 5/5 minion, in addition to a free Flamestrike to clear the board or a free Firelands Portal to summon another minion, is a possible game-winning play.

Kazakus

A legendary minion for the Kabal, Kazakus can be used by Mage, Priest and Warlock decks. His unique Battlecry ability, which plays well with Reno decks, provides Priests and Warlocks with a massive list of options for spells with effects that the two classes did not previously have access to.

In creating a spell with Kazakus, players will first choose from a cost of 1, 5 or 10, and then pick two attributes. As such, Kazakus is very valuable at any stage of the game, and in any given situation.
