The high-end Huawei P10 is expected to hit the scene soon at the Mobile World Congress 2017 and a new leak now boosts the hype.

Huawei is rapidly rising and the U.S. release of the Huawei Mate 9, the first Alexa-enabled smartphone, put the company even more on the map. The Huawei P10 is expected to rock even more impressive specs and features, as well as Amazon Alexa integration and a sleek design.

Huawei P10 Design

Back in November, a leaked image showed an elegant smartphone with a dual-edge curved display, and the latest leak now bolsters such claims. The design language is very similar to that of the Huawei Mate 9, considering the physical home button right below the display and the curved screen edges.

The new leak also shows the company's brand logo at the top, above the display, while the volume rocker and the power / lock button are located on the right side of the handset.

While the previous leak from November showed both the front and back of the purported smartphone, the new one only features the front side. However, two other newly leaked images allegedly show the internal layout of the Huawei P10, confirming that the smartphone will have a physical home button, a dual rear camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Huawei P10 Rumored Specs

The Huawei P9, P9 Plus and Mate 9 also have dual rear cameras, so it's not surprising that the Huawei P10 will follow in their footsteps.

Based on previous leaks and rumors, the Huawei P10 is expected to pack a 64-bit octa-core Kirin 960 processor with 6 GB of RAM, and sport a high-resolution QHD display (2,560 x 1,440 pixels). The Kirin 960 is Huawei's flagship processor and it also fuels the Mate 9, delivering plenty of oomph.

On the software side of things, the Huawei P10 should run Android Nougat straight out of the box, with Huawei's own Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 skin on top. Support for Google's DayDream virtual reality platform is reportedly in the mix as well.

Huawei already sent out invitations to its MWC 2017 event, where both the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus should make their official debut. Both handsets should rock Alexa integration and should hit the market sometime in March or April.

With a powerful processor, 6 GB of RAM, dual-edge curved QHD display, dual rear cameras, Android Nougat and Alexa integration, the Huawei P10 is shaping up as quite a compelling powerhouse.

It remains to be seen just how much the Huawei P10 will cost when it hits the market, but the Mate 9 is priced at $600 – lower than the price of other flagship smartphones with comparable specs. The Huawei P10 should follow a similar pricing strategy, aiming for a good balance of power and affordability.

The specs are still in the rumor state at this point, but MWC is just around the corner and we'll get the official scoop straight from Huawei soon enough. In the meantime, it's highly advised to take all leaks, rumors and speculation with a grain of salt.
