Russia is not taking too kindly to Tim Cook coming out as gay. A company within the country that goes by the name ZEFS has dismantled a memorial statue of late Apple CEO Steve Jobs in response to Tim Cook's coming out with his sexual orientation.

The monument of Steve Jobs was more than six feet high, and it had the shape of an iPhone. The monument was first erected outside of St Petersburg College in January 2013 in honor of the late Apple CEO.

The reason for the removal of the statue could have more to do with the current gay propaganda law in the country than with Tim Cook coming out. President Vladimir Putin has been cracking down on the gay community for years to the point where they do not feel safe in the country.

"Sin should not become the norm," said Maxim Dolgopolov, head of ZEFS and the person who ordered the removal of Steve Jobs' statue. "There is nothing to do in Russia for those who intend to violate our laws."

"In Russia, gay propaganda and other sexual perversions among minors are prohibited by law," said ZEFS. The company states that the memorial of Jobs was "in an area of direct access for young students and scholars."

"After Apple CEO Tim Cook publicly called for sodomy, the monument was taken down to abide to the Russian federal law protecting children from information promoting denial of traditional family values."

We should point out that Tim Cook did not publicly make a call for sodomy; he just came out to the public as a gay man.

We're not sure what this spells for Apple, but it doesn't look good. There's a high chance the American company could face more issues.

A Russian politician who goes by the name Vitaly Milonov called on the government to ban Tim Cook for life from ever entering the country. He feels that Cook could bring diseases, such as Ebola and AIDS, to Russia. We all know that doesn't make much sense.

Only time will tell what the Russians choose to do, but from our point of view, the writing is on the wall. Apple will no doubt become a target in the near future as the Russian Federation aims to hurt the West.
