Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the hottest video game available in the market right now, and for all the right reasons. Last year, Activision got it all wrong with Call of Duty: Ghosts, as the game brought nothing new to the table, just the same Call of Duty we've been playing for years in the past.

The new game brings a lot that is different to the table, and mostly in a good way. The Exosuit gameplay, while similar to Titanfall, feels great in action, though the developer made an odd move of limiting the use of the suit in certain areas of the single player. Thankfully, this is not the case for multiplayer, the most important aspect of this Call of Duty game.

Story wise, Advanced Warfare is not the best we've seen, but it is the best since the Modern Warfare games. The game gives us the feeling that Call of Duty is back after years of the same old formula. Not to say some of this old formula does not show up in the game, it's just that the overall package is much better.

The bad guy this time around, played by Kevin Spacey, is very convincing. This is expected since Spacey is one of the best actors in the business. We really like this character, but the ending of the game leaves much to be desired. The writers could have done better, but alas, they chose the typical end to a first-person shooter video game.

Hey, what about multiplayer?

Multiplayer action in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is nothing short of spectacular. As noted above, the exosuit is used to its full potential here, and it gives players a new way to navigate a map. We won't lie here, navigating with the exosuit is not as fast and fluid when compared to Titanfall, but it still feels good.

Notably, the exosuit brings off a more profound sense of difficulty and urgency in multiplayer. Killing an enemy is more difficult at times as the player, if they have the skill, can just use the exosuit features to navigate swiftly to a safe area before the final blow.

The customization system here is also top notch, we can't remember a time we've had this much fun customizing our character in a way that feels right.

For all these reasons and more, it is why we consider Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare as the best game in the franchise since Modern Warfare 3. No doubt the Black Ops games are great, but not capable of standing in the same shoe as this gem.
