Valentine's Day is just around the corner!

For a gamer, nothing is more romantic than having a partner understand your love for video games (next to your partner, of course). What can top that? Having a partner who's a gamer as well!

This year, two big titles are coming out on V-Day itself. One is For Honor, a multi-platform action game from Ubisoft featuring three historical warrior factions: Knights, Vikings and Samurai.

The other big game is Sniper Elite 4, a multi-platform action adventure game that will take you to World War 2 in Italy.

If you're thinking of which games to buy this Feb. 14, then these games should be on your list.

For Love, For Honor

This 2017, Ubisoft is putting its own take on faction-style hack-and-slash game with RPG elements in its newest offering, For Honor.

This game allows you to play one of three warrior classes from history: Vikings, Knights and Samurais. These three factions have four classes each: Vanguard (balanced attack and defense), Assassin (high damage, fast mobility), Heavy (high def, slow mobility), and Hybrid (special skills).

You can customize your warrior's armors, colors, insignias and tattoos. You can achieve "Feats" when you accomplish certain actions; these allow you to raise your stats, or call in artillery support.

The gameplay will pit you against other players in a solo or multiplayer mode in a medieval setting. You can fight against a horde of lesser enemies, or against other special warrior classes. The game modes as officially revealed are Dominion, Brawl, Duel, Skirmish and Elimination.

For Honor will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Love On Target: Sniper Elite 4

If you prefer a more contemporary history, Sniper Elite 4's Italy during World War 2 may appeal to you.

Sniper Elite 4 is a third-person tactical shooter and stealth video game developed by Rebellion Developments. This game takes you to Italy in 1943. You will assume the role of sniper Karl Fairburne. Your main mission: assist the Italian Resistance in their fight against the Fascists.

As shown in the official gameplay with the devs, you as Fairburne can explore a picturesque Italy. You can take various missions such as assassinating key targets, contacting Resistance members or getting intel.

Returning to the game is the "x-ray kill cam." Each time you score a clean shot, the camera follows the bullet and shows an x-ray of the body as it hits the skull or body. You can also shoot objects that can explode or fall on enemies.

If you prefer stealth, you can crouch, crawl or hide in bushes to ambush your enemies. Or you can go guns blazing and raze your enemies with gunfire. Be wary though: the AI in this game is more advanced, thus raising the difficulty level.

Sniper Elite 4 will available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
