Sony's upcoming smartphone and the successor of Sony Xperia XA - the Xperia XA2 - has leaked online.

The fans get a peek of the smartphone, through a series of pictures. The images first surfaced in China and were later published by Android Headlines.

According to the source, the smartphone will be named Xperia XA2 and can also be called Xperia XA (second-generation) or Xperia XA (2017).

What Do The Leaked Images Reveal?

The leaked images of second-generation Xperia XA2 handset show that the device is quite tall and spots minimum side bezels. The upper and lower bezels of the phone are quite broad and altogether portray a very odd image of the phone in the leaked pictures.

One of the images shows that the upcoming Xperia XA (2017) will come pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat and will also offer the January 2017 Android security patch.

The rumored Xperia XA's (2017) leaked images also show a single camera in the back of the phone. The primary camera is located on the top left side of the handset. An LED flash was also visible just below the camera.

Other than these features, not much can be gleaned from the pictures as the quality of the images is quite bad and offers a grainy and blurred look.

Previous Rumors And Leaked Renders

Early in January, several leaked images surfaced online claiming to be the renders of Xperia XA (2017) model.

Some of the features of the January leaks match with the latest images of the upcoming smartphone. Both the leaks confirm that the Xperia handset would come with narrow side bezels and broad upper and lower bezels.

The January leaks also shows that the upcoming Sony smartphone is rumored to sport a USB Typ-C connector and is likely to come in three color options: red, purple and navy blue.

The impending smartphone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 64-bit octa-core processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. The smartphone will also come with Sony's customized UI.
