Pop singer Kesha has come back fighting in her ongoing dispute with label Sony music and producer Dr. Luke. The star has released email exchanges between her manager and Luke indicating that the producer body shamed and insulted her and told her that she wasn't getting the best songs to record because she was too fat.

A new wrinkle has emerged in the very public fight between Kesha and the former producer that helped propel her to the top of the pop charts with songs such as "We R Who We R," "Cannibal," "Blow," and "Crazy Kids." The pop star has submitted emails to the court backing up her claims that Dr. Luke was abusive to her during their working relationship.

Kesha vs Dr. Luke Lawsuit

It all started when Kesha filed a lawsuit in New York Supreme Court alleging that Luke had raped her and abused her emotionally, including accusations of body shaming. Just about a year ago, the judge in the case ruled for Luke and Kesha's record label Sony and refused to release her from her recording contract. The judge held that the singer was not able to fully substantiate her claims and that Sony had made it possible for her to record for the label without further direct involvement from Dr. Luke.

Kesha's dilemma led to an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists Lady Gaga, Kelly Clarkson, Iggy Azalea, Lorde, Janelle Monae, Miley Cyrus, Sara Bareilles, Lily Allen, Demi Lovato, and Ariana Grande. The singer did record a version of EDM artist and producer Zedd's "True Colors" following the ruling. She also posted on her Instagram account in April that she was offered a settlement in the suit if she would lie and rescind her accusations.

Kesha Releases New Dr. Luke Emails

Now, the singer has returned to court with new emails that show damaging evidence of Dr. Luke's treatment of her. Copies of the emails, obtained by The New York Post, back up Kesha's claims that Luke viciously turned a blind eye to her eating disorder. He apparently scolded the singer for eating turkey and drinking Diet Coke while he says she was supposed to be on an all-juice fast.

"There have been many times we have all witnessed her breaking her diet plan. this perticular [sic] time — it happened to be diet coke and turkey while on an all juice fast," Luke wrote.

Luke also claimed the singer's weight was hurting her career, stating that "A list songwriters and producers are reluctant to give Kesha their songs because of her weight."

Another email shows Kesha's manager claiming that the producer scolded Kesha in a dispute over lyrics to "Crazy Kids," allegedly stating that "I don't give a s-t what you want. If you were smart you would go in and sing it."
