Wheel of Fortune has become one of the most popular game shows after 30 years on air. The game for wordsmiths and puzzle lovers would not be what it is without Vanna White and her ballgowns and host Pat Sajak and his quick one-liners.

After a video of Pat Sajak walking off the set of Wheel of Fortune made the rounds yesterday, it got us thinking about all the memorable moments throughout the show's history. Throughout the years, contestants have had some epic fails and some major wins. Check out the five best Wheel of Fortune moments below. 

1. EPIC WIN! Woman solves puzzle with one letter

All it takes is one right guess to solve a puzzle or if you're this woman, all it takes is one right letter. During a Hollywood-themed prize puzzle round, contestant Caitlin correctly guessed the letter "L." Watch Caitlin wow us after guessing the phrase with only one letter and 26 empty spaces.

2. EPIC FAIL! All three contestants fail at solving the easiest puzzle

Some rounds of the game show are a bit harder than others, even after Vanna reveals quite a few letters. During a "Proper Names" puzzle, all three contestant commit the biggest fortune fail. During the Jackpot round, no one was able to correctly solve "Regis Philbin & Kelly Ripa," even when it was practically spelled out for them.

3. EPIC WIN! Woman becomes first to win a million

"Canada Week" contestant Michelle took home the biggest check to date, winning over a million dollars on the game show. After solving "Leaky faucet" correctly, Michelle and fiancé hug Sajak and White after beating the odds to become a millionaire.


4. EPIC FAIL! Worst Wheel of Fortune of all time

During a college edition episode, Indiana University's contestant Julian had the worst luck of all time. Landing on a million dollars with all the letters solved, Julian fails to pronounce the puzzle correctly. Then, Julian fails another easy puzzle for the third time, it's almost too heartbreaking to watch. 

5. Win and Fail? Contestant confuses Pat Sajak

In this vintage clip of, one confused contestant has to do a double take at his prized winnings. "Well, I'm a little stunned myself," Sajak says. During the final puzzle, Raymond struggles to think of letters and makes some funny guesses including "mild sauce." His face says it all.
