Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End is the sequel to the surprisingly good Dragon Quest Heroes of 2015. The game will be released in the United States on April 25 for PlayStation 4 (April 28 in Europe). A Nintendo Switch version was released in Japan on March 3.

As a hack-and-slash adventure game player, you will encounter a lot of strong enemies. That's why you need the strongest weapon in your armory. This guide will help you find the game's best weapons.

Erdrick's Weapons

Erdrick is a legendary hero in the Dragon Quest lore. In the game, you will get a chance to acquire his legendary weapons. To get them, you must first kill the Twin Kings to unlock the side quest "Unlocking Pathways." Then clear the quest to disable the barrier in Ihrim Snowfield.

Behind the magic barrier, you will find four chests. Three of these contain Erdrick's Weapons: 

Erdrick's Sword. 130 Attack. Gives Attack Power + 10 when equipped.
Erdrick's Orb. 130 Attack. Gives spell resistance +10 percent.
Erdrick's Shield. A shield that gives Blaze Resistance + 10 percent.

Sky Weapons

Sky weapons are also some of the best ones in the game. These are:

Sword of the Sky. 130 Attack. Found in Forest of Darkness treasure chest.
Orb of the Sky. 130 Attack. Gives Instant Death resistance + 90 percent. Found in Snowfield of Darkness.
Shield of the Sky. Gives Dazzle resistance by 50 percent. Found in Snowfield of Darkness.

Pharaoh's Claw

To obtain this powerful claw-type weapon, first access Golda Desert by getting a permit from the merchant. Hear about the pyramid's treasure. Then go to the end of the pitfall at Jywall border to get the treasure chest key.

The chest contains the Pharaoh's Claw. It has 158 Attack that attracts enemies when equipped.

Thunder Sword

To unlock, you must clear the side quest "Unlocking Pathways" at the Canyon of Darkness.

Clearing the quest disables the barrier at Amal Canyon. There, you will find two treasure chests, one of which holds the Thunder Sword, a one-handed sword with 165 Attack. It gives +1 High Tension duration when equipped by Terry.

Gringham Whip

To obtain this whip, clear the side quest "Unlocking Pathways" at the Tower of Legend. Doing so will disable the barrier at Rao Wasteland. There, you will find two chests, one of which holds the Gringham Whip, a whip with 169 Attack.

Metal King Weapons

You can get Metal King weapons by trading Mini Medals. Each weapon costs 120 medals.

Dual Swords of the Metal King. 180 Attack.
Sword of the Metal King. 170 Attack.
Greatsword of the Metal King. 190 Attack.
Spear of the Metal King. 170 Attack.
Shield of the Metal King. Gives Guard Success Damage Reduction + 15 percent.

Ultimate Weapons

As the name implies, Ultimate Weapons are the best weapons and can only be acquired by finishing the bosses (Time Labyrinth).
