If you haven't played the Batman: Arkham games yet, then you are seriously missing out on some of the greatest gaming experiences of all time. Not just for superhero games, mind you: Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are two of the most polished and exhilarating games anyone can play. At the very least, playing through them will explain why people are so excited about Rocksteady Studio's next game, Batman: Arkham Knight.

From what Rocksteady has shown, Arkham Knight is everything great about the last two games, multiplied by a hundred. That being said, it's been a long time since fans have gotten to see the game in action...but that changes today with this new footage:

First of all, the game looks absolutely amazing. The previous games in the series still look great to this day, but this is the next-generation Batman game people want. There's a good chance people will have to re-watch the trailer simply because it's so easy to get distracted by all of the little details: even the Dark Knight's cape looks absolutely amazing.

The Batmobile also shines in the new trailer. While fans have seen Arkham Knight's Batmobile before, this is the first time anyone has seen it doing something other than shooting robots. The previous trailer made it seem like the Batmobile would be nothing more than a combat mini-game; fans can rest easy now, as the Batmobile plays a major role in both exploration and combat.

Finally, the fighting. There's a whole lot of environmental destruction in the new trailer, and being able to chain together takedowns could go a long way to reinvigorating an already stellar fighting system. There's a reason so many action games now ape Rocksteady's fighting system, and from the looks of things, Arkham Knight is going to push things even further.

The game already looks great, and thankfully, fans won't have to wait much longer to see more: Rocksteady announced that the next Arkham Knight trailer will premiere on Dec. 1. Meanwhile, the full Batman: Arkham Knight is set for release on June 2, 2015.
