Sony's PlayStation VR holiday deal is back and offers price cut of up to $100 on exciting mix of packages. The promo runs from Feb. 18 until March 3.

The discounted virtual reality gears and game bundles were first seen during the 2017 Black Friday mania and the succeeding holiday weeks. Sony said PlayStation fans loved the deals then so they'd be back for another two-week run. The package that includes the PSVR headset, the PlayStation Camera, and the PlayStation Move Motion controllers in various configurations will work on all PS4 console models.

All bundles in the PSVR promotion will be carried by Sony's major retail partners in the United States, indicating that fans can head out to their favorite Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and GameStop outlets starting this Sunday, Feb. 18.

"The most popular PS VR bundle this holiday, the PlayStation VR Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR Bundle, will also be on sale," Sony said in a statement.

The Bundle Menu

The Skyrim bundle is the priciest of the bunch at $349.99 as the unboxing will deliver the PSVR headset, the PS Camera, two PS Move controllers, the PS VR Demo Disc 2.0 and the Skyrim VR game title, including the official add-ons. This swelling pack will be on display with $100 price cut so Skyrim fans on the PS4 will find the deal sufficiently tempting.

The most basic of the three PSVR bundles is the Gran Turismo Sport that has the combo of camera and headset gear, which should be enough to experience what AR gaming is all about. The whole thing is ready to take home for only $199.99, likely making it the hottest item of the promo deal.

PS4 fans, however, will do well skipping on the Doom VFR Bundle that Sony stuffed with the VR gear, VR camera, and the VR demo disc. The package has a sticker price of $299.99 when what's inside is basically similar with that of the Gran Turismo bundle.

At present, the standalone Doom VFR title sells for only $30, so buyers can pocket considerable savings if they'd simply grab the Gran Turismo bundle then opt for a separate purchase of the Doom VFR.

It's worth noting too that getting any of the PSVR bundles now will mean experiencing VR gaming the Sony way, which in 2017 had benefitted from a number of feature bumps. Among the upgrades deployed to the gear is the new feature that permits HDR passthrough with the breakout box, which certainly makes for a more immersive virtual reality experience.
