We've been hearing a lot about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but not so much on whether the film might feature a Robin. Rumors of Jena Malone playing the character of Carrie Kelly have popped up a few times but nothing seems believable.

Who is Carrie Kelly?

Carrie Kelly is Robin in the Dark Knight Returns comic book series. She was saved by Batman and she later went on to save his life. She's not a popular Robin and has yet to prove herself compared with others before her, but she has done a decent enough job to warrant a feature in a major film.

In other Robin-related rumors, it has been said that Bruce Wayne has a monument in the Batcave that houses a Robin costume that is torn up. If such is the case, then chances are, this costume might belong to Jason Todd, the only Robin, who managed to lose his life.

Todd lost his life to the Joker, and it was one of the few times the Batman felt like breaking the clown's neck once and for all. However, Todd did not stay dead as Ra's al Ghul revived him in the Lazarus Pit.

Because of the extent of his injuries and the fact that he actually died, he did not return 100 percent whole. His mind was altered; he viewed things differently and chose to take up the persona Red Hood.

Instead of living up to the code of the Batman, Jason Todd chose to kill, and it later caused him and his former mentor to trade blows.

Could he show up in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'?

Well, we don't expect him to have a central role because that would take away from the real aim behind this movie. If Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder choose to make him appear, we would expect Red Hood to appear in a cameo or even mentioned in the news or a conversation between Bruce and Alfred.

Jason is Bruce Wayne's failure when it comes down to all the Robins because he failed to save him from the Joker, and this is something he never forgets. Because of this, it would make perfect sense to at least have a conversation about the character somewhere within the film.
