With the hopes of enhancing every user's gaming experience, Activision has decided to move the release of Spyro Reignited Trilogy into a later date.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy, which is a collection of the first three Spyro games, will now be available for PS4 and Xbox One on Nov. 13. Activision and Toys for Bob were supposed to release the trilogy collection worldwide this Sept. 21.

Toys for Bob studio head Paul Yan did not mention any particular reason as to what caused the delay, but he cited that they are committed to keeping the game right. The news came in shortly after the San Diego Comic-Con, which featured the comeback of the original composer, Stewart Copeland, to Spyro. Copeland also served as a drummer for The Police.

"Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years. We're deeply committed to getting these games right, so we've decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you're exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you'll agree the extra time was worth the wait," Yan said.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is geared with updated versions of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Among the notable improvements in the game include the Colossus stage from Spyro: Ripto's Rage and the Hurricos level playthrough.

Negative Response By Fans Caused The Delay

According to multiple sources, Spyro fans were angered after it was revealed earlier that only the first of the three games would be complete in time to be playable offline. It added the remaining two games would need online downloads to be playable.

Although it has been confirmed that the Trilogy would require a download, the complete details of what the download includes is still uncertain at this time. However, Activision reiterated that they decided to move the game's release to a later date so that it could live up to their own standards.

Despite the delay, Gamescom 2018 guests will still be able to play the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Aside from the trilogy, other Activision games that will be featured in the event are Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Destiny 2: Forsaken, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
