Pokémon GO’s Evolution Event 2019 runs from Dec. 5 to 12

On Dec. 4 (Wednesday), the Pokémon GO team and Niantic Labs posted a press release inviting Trainers and the entire Pokémon GO community to celebrate the power of change by joining their first-ever Evolution Event 2019.

"Perhaps one of the greatest lessons we learn from Pokémon is that it's possible to evolve into a surprising and cool being-sometimes we just need a little boost or help!" said the team on their Pokémon GO Live website.

"Let's celebrate how much your Pokémon (and you) have grown this year with the first-ever Evolution Event and an accompanying Raid Day," the team added.

During the week-long event, Trainers can catch Evolution items from raids, use Lure Modules for longer periods (about one hour), and encounter special Pokémons more frequently in the wild and Field Research.

As the event goes on, the peeps at Newsweek have begun compiling the list of every Pokemon creature that will appear in Raid Battles. They have also listed the accompanying reward that you will get when you accomplish the special Research Tasks.
