Resident Evil fans will now be able to play as the most legendary beast in the multiplayer mode of RE 3 remake. The new Resident Evil: Resistance update introduces Nemesis to the franchise for the first time as a playable character. It also introduces Nicholai Ginovaef as a Strategist to former Russian special forces.

Resistance, originally intended to be a spinoff, pits four survivors against a psychopath who can lay on them traps and sic monsters.

The RE 3 and Resistance teams talked about how they redesigned Nemesis to a new audience in an interview with PlayStation's Tim Turi. The Nemesis and Nicholai free updates are now available for download.

Why is Nicholai fit on Mastermind in Resident Evil Resistance?

Capcom previously revealed that Nicolai will be his new Genius character. Summoning the demon in Resident Evil: Resistance seems like the best way to make use of the villain, but it has not much revealed its unique ability.

Since the very early stages of development, Nicholai was on the list of potential Masterminds. Through listening to Nicolai and collecting knowledge found in the game, Nicolai took a keen interest in both study and benefiting from Nemesis. The cunning personality and willingness of Nicholai to do anything at the right price make him a perfect fit for a Mastermind Resident Evil Resistance.

The Mastermind can summon a monster that is somehow connected to their character from the Resident Evil franchise. In the case of Nicolai, there is no choice more critical to his role than Nemesis.

When you want to play as Nicholai, you can use Nemesis to hunt down survivors. Still, you can also use camera-mounted weapons and trackers to keep an eye on them.

If players are trying to play as he is or want to stick with friends, it's best to learn what he's capable of, so they know how to beat him once he's added.

Nicolai was part of Capcom's roadmap to describe Resident Evil: Resistance. The last mystery character was marked off the roadmap with it now revealed, and his release is coming early.

As for the rest of the roadmap, the next thing on the calendar is something "under construction" in June. It's unclear what that means, but considering that July and beyond says "more changes to come," the June text combined with some build tape could mean that a new map is scheduled for next month.

Nemesis' new looks?

He proceeds to say "STARS" repeatedly. Still, now he has a new outfit and a unique ability to kill parasites with zombies. That is besides wielding such a powerful Rocket Launcher, and it can wipe out entire Survivor teams at once.

Nemesis starts off the game almost completely wrapped in black stuff, almost like a body bag. In the interview, however, Capcom told Turi that Nemesis is not a completed model but rather a prototype.

Although Nemesis undergoes a dramatic transformation in the RE3 remake as opposed to the original game, Capcom's goal was to make a transition more exciting from a gameplay point of view.
