Topson likely to return to battle at ESL One Birmingham Online

A mind-blowing announcement has been made by the OG Esports-- one of the best playing Dota 2 teams in the world.

OG Esports has confirmed that one of its best players on the team will return soon. Topias Miikka "Topson" Taavitsainen returns to London to join OG again since the fans last watched Topson in February.

OG Esports already won two times in The International competition of Dota 2. Though Topson started to drift away and shown signals of stopping on competing, the team still managed to pop up on various gaming competitions. Some of the international events they joined were Gamers Without Borders, OGA Dota PIT Online, and WePlay! Pushka League. This followed a six-month stretch following The International 2019, during which OG's only event was effectively a show match at Midas Mode 2.0.

Who is Topson?

Topson was famous, not just on being a great player at the OG team, but its iconic skills that helped OG reached qualifying rounds at ESL One Los Angeles Major.

After this, Topson started to stop playing. According to his fans, Topson's social media shows that the player has been spending his time with his girlfriend in Malaysia. But, neither OG nor Topson spilled out the reason for his decision to stop competing.

Now, Topson returns to London to officially join the upcoming ESL One Birmingham Online.

OG joining the ESL One Birmingham Online

OG has not yet announced the names of the final two players that will join them at ESL One Birmingham Online. However, obviously, the team will be composed of SumaiL, Saksa, and n0tail, which serves as the team captain of OG. It is expected for Topson to join this team soon.

"It's very hard to say what the future holds, as the season is unknown, and it seems uncertain if we'll even have LAN tournaments for the rest of 2020," says N0tail. "As long as Dota is going, OG will be playing. Even with TI being canceled, we're hopeful something will replace it and give us a chance to show what we're capable of."
