Riot Games Valorant has gained public interest for gamers around the globe. It was launched early this year, but everyone seemed to be thrilled with the 5v5 competitive shooting game. Of course, since its a new game, it's understandable that not everyone is already an expert on playing Valorant. Luckily, we've collected the best tips and tricks that we can get to make sure you'll never be called a 'noob' again.

Valorant 101: How to shoot properly

Valorant is a free-to-play 5v5 first-person shooting game that somehow surpasses all your expectations in a shooting game.

The game is simple: using your chosen 'agent' with a unique skill, you've got to make sure to throw all the bombs on the opponent's territory before they see you. The game is best out of 25 points, so the winner with the highest points wins the game and kills most enemies.

Though it sounds simple, it's not an easy game. So how can you be a pro out of it? Here are the simple tips and tricks for you to try.

First, learning how to aim and shoot. Based on a tutorial video from Youtuber DrZora, the first thing that Valorant gamers should master is the technique of swiftly pointing your weapon against the enemy.

The video suggests purchasing larger sizes of a mouse pad for your gaming. Since Valorant is a game of movements, it is a huge help for beginners like you to have wider space with your mouse movements. Not only that, but you will also analyze how quick is your response time and mouse sensitivity.

Crosshair isn't that accurate

Let's talk about missed shots. Not every bullet that you fire can mean death for your enemy, especially if you're a noob. Crosshair is responsible for that.

The target symbol in each of your guns doesn't really point to the exact target. In Valorant, the crosshair is higher than the target area. So when you're shooting, make sure to aim for a lower angle. The bullets cross above the crosshair-- remember that.

Stop and Shoot

Another mistake commonly done by Noob players is the run and shoot tactic. If you're a beginner, the run and shoot technique is not what you wanted. You need to 'stop and shoot.' This means when your enemy is in front of you, make sure to stop your movements first then aim the gun to him.

Aim for Peek-a-boo style

Last but not the least tip is how to make sure you'll get your enemy first in the game. DrZora said that the peek-a-boo style is the best technique to do for beginners. This tactic is simple: once you get first sight of your enemy, hide in a barrier, and slowly point your crosshair out of the barrier. Once you're sure about your distance, aim for either center outside the barrier or just the corners.

Ranking up

There are no exact tips and tricks on how to rank up in Valorant. However, with the right skills and practice, nothing's possible on ranking up.
