For months, coronavirus has created a new normal life amid the pandemic. Hand sanitizer, facial masks, and gloves are already included in our everyday get up.

Well, there is a new tool that is worth investing with and it is making a loud noise in the TikTok world. And it will surely add style and protection against germs.

The Kooty Key utility hook is a keychain that prevents contact with surfaces that are filled with germs. These include ATMs, door handles or knobs, and elevator buttons which are mostly touched by thousands of people. Meanwhile, the Kooty Key chains can also help avoid contact with ATMs, faucets, trash bins. It is currently being sold on Amazon for only $13 and is available in five colors: purple, lime green, pink, blue, and black.

It is made of a lightweight and durable antimicrobial plastic and can be easily clipped to a bangle, purse, belt, or pants.

Kooty Key on viral TikTok videos

TikTok user @simplycharmedhays reposted her video that gathered over 2.2 million views and nearly 292,000 likes. The video features the Kooty Key tool in germ-filled areas like credit card skimmers, car door handles, store door handles, elevator buttons, and gas station buttons.

One TikTok user commented that it was something that a germaphobe like her has been waiting for years. Another comment said that aside from the COVID-19 issues, this tool also answers long-nailed-problems.

Meanwhile, the video creator sells it as well on her Simply Charmed Boutique on Instagram.

Another TikTok video by user @headahh went viral and it shows other surfaces where Kooty Key can be of use. Aside from door handles, she also used it in the car's interior handle as well as to push her car's door lock. She also showed how to switch on the light using the Kootey Key.

Meanwhile, comments on the video mainly focused on the possibility of transferring the germs from these surfaces to others. One user advised the video creator to wipe the tool after use "or the germs will transfer from the door handles onto the thing then onto your hand."

In response, @headahh wittingly said: "Wow good job for knowing how to disinfect items! You get an A+ for today." Her video now has nearly 935,000 views and more than 244,000 likes.

While this tool may be useful, it is still best to follow guidelines on how to prevent COVID-19. Wash hands properly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, particularly after coming from a public place, before eating, after using the restroom, among others. Use sanitizers with at least 60% alcohol content when soap and water are not available.

Use a face mask or shield when with other people and always observe social distancing. Also, keep the house clean and surfaces that are frequently touched using detergent and water. After cleaning, always disinfect to kill any germs on these areas.

Meanwhile, daily monitoring of temperature and other symptoms also helps in preventing the spread of the virus.
