Detective Comics, popularly known as DC Comics, is set to gather a convention for its most beloved fans, the catch is, it will all happen online! DC previously teased the event on June, but the long wait is over, DC Fandome will premiere on August 22.

Variety mentioned that Warner Bros. first revealed in June that a virtual fan experience would happen, noting that it will be an immersive experience for fans, being the first of its kind.

The DC Fandome is set to premiere on August 22 lasting only for 24 hours. DC invite fans to take advantage of the event as exclusive, never before seen content will be made available varying from various DC news and content found in movies, television, comics, and games.

DC features its stars that will bring comic book heroes, villains, and characters to the big screen with the likes of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Robert Pattinson, Ezra Miller, Idris Elba, Margot Robbie, Gal Gadot, and more. Also joining the ensemble are producers and directors behind the scenes with James Gunn and Zack Snyder being the most anticipated ones.

What's made DC Fandome exemplary from all other conventions that happened is that it brings DC directly to its fans, without the expense of being exposed to COVID-19, even giving them ten different languages to suit their experiences. The languages available will be including Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.

DC made this decision following the dismay of the cancelled San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC) 2 months before the event in July because of the coronavirus pandemic. This is the first time that the SDCC was cancelled since it began in the 1970s and finally being named as San Diego Comic-Con in 1973. SDCC is expected to return on July 22-25, 2021.
