The classics will never die, and that seems to be true with Konami classics that are now available on PC via GoG.com, including well-loved franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, and Contra.
Konami Classics on PC
According to IGN, the old-school Konami games will be available on the storefront starting today, and players can choose from the original Metal Gear that came out in 1987, Metal Gear Solid that came out in 1998, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, which was released in 2001 and is the expanded version of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.
The games can be bought separately.
The company's announcement marks the first time the MGS franchise was made available on PC since the 2000s when Metal Gear Solid 2 was launched for PC back in 2003.
The price of the games starts at $5.99, which is really affordable if you want some nostalgic fun.

8-Bit Fun
Meanwhile, the gaming giant has also released the Konami Collector's Series: Castlevania & Contra on the site, which includes Contra, Super C, Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, and Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, which you can get for only $5.99.
The games included in the Collector's Series are all complete, so they are worth getting if you're a fan of these classics.
Moreover, Konami has also brought back some great games from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras with the Castlevania Anniversary Collection as well as the Contra Anniversary Collection, which includes full games from the said franchises.
Fans of Konami and the franchises have been expecting the games' arrival on PC ever since Gematsu found ratings of the games for PC on Wednesday, September 23.
Would a Sony-Konami Deal Work?
In related news, some gaming enthusiasts have been thinking of the possibility of Sony acquiring Konami as a PlayStation exclusive publisher after Microsoft has struck a deal with Bethesda, making popular games such as Fallout and Elder Scrolls Xbox exclusive.
According to GameRant, if Sony were indeed planning to create such a massive deal with Konami as Microsoft and Bethesda, some of the biggest game franchises in history would be PlayStation exclusives, making the future bright for the Sony console, especially with the imminent arrival of the PS5 this November.
For example, franchises like Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, and Silent Hill would only be playable via a PlayStation console.
And when it comes to the biggest games, the Suikoden would most likely be on the list as it has become one of the biggest Japanese RPG (JRPG) titles of all time--although it would most likely be on the end of the list.
Some fans believe that if Sony were to acquire Konami for an exclusive contract, it would definitely bring these games back to the spotlight, although most of the triple-A games from the company have been doing magnificently well even with the latest releases.
Nevertheless, there really is no word of any deals happening between the two companies, and so far, it's just been some gaming fans who are thinking what would happen if it came true.
