Fashion is always evolving, giving rise to new and unique clothing lines offering everything from comfort to luxury. As "being fit" continues to hold a prominent place in society, fitness clothing and athleisure wear are rapidly increasing their presence in our closets and on the streets. With this in mind, YoungLA set out to change streetwear for the better with comfortable and sleek styles everyone can wear. From humble beginnings, to becoming a leading fitness clothing brand YoungLA is on an incredible journey.

Founded in 2014 by brothers Gurmer and Robby Chopra, the clothing line is a bodybuilding and fitness apparel line designed specifically for men. "With the explosion of brands like Lululemon and Fabletics, we noticed that the market wasn't targeting men," explains Gurmer. "There weren't a lot of options for men in terms of comfortable athleisure wear at the time. It was either street clothes or gym clothes. There was no in-between."

Seeing an opportunity on the horizon, Gurmer and Robby started testing the demand for products by selling them on Amazon and eBay. With one employee, the brothers kept things small and reinvested all profits back into the business. With absolutely no financial help, they have grown YoungLA hiring 27 employees and partnering with 25 athletes.

"Instagram was a big driver for our business," says Robby. "When we launched, Instagram was blowing up, and we knew partnering with athletes would take us to the next level." With great styles that allow for better performance, the team had no problems gaining partnerships and quickly signed their first significant athlete Jerdani Kraja. From jeans to hoodies and workout shorts to t-shirts, the brand has created a strong culture and regularly sells out new items.

Now located in a 10,000 square foot warehouse, the team is eyeing an even bigger space for 2021. "Demand for our items has just been insane," states Robby. Gurmer explains, "If you aren't online at 12 PM PST when an item drops, it's likely it will sell out before you get there." Known for their quality and affordability, YoungLA is continuing to take the fashion world by storm offering everything for the gym-goer, recreational and professional athlete.
