Cub Cadet, the outdoor power equipment maker, showed off and announced extended market availability of its RZT-S Zero mower.

The company's RZT-S Zero, which was showcased at Pepcom's 2014 Digital Experience!, is the world's first fully-electric zero-turn riding mower with steering wheel control and four-wheel steering technology.

The International CES has awarded the Cub Cadet Zero in the Eco Design and Sustainable Technologies category of its annual Innovations Design and Engineering Awards.

"It is a remarkable honor to get this award. Being recognized among the thousands of global innovations here at the International Consumer Electronics Show - products that are literally changing the way we live and work - is truly a privilege," said Jeff Salamon, Cub Cadet's director of marketing. "And it is a privileged to work with a team so dedicated to bringing the future of lawn care to reality. We are certainly looking forward to bringing this breakthrough product to homeowners nationwide this spring, so they can experience for themselves that with the Cub Cadet ZERO, it's what you don't get that is most valuable."

This is not the first time that the Cub Cadet Zero is getting an award. The mower also received the Breakthrough Award from Hearst Media's Popular Mechanics in October 2013.

The company claims that the RZT-S Zero has received good response in the market, based on which the company is expanding the availability of the product to more markets across the country, starting in spring 2014.

The company claims that the Zero offers 60 minutes of cutting time with no power fade. The mower has a 42-inch stamped mowing deck with powerful dual-direct-drive motors. The Zero also comes with 3-year limited warranty. The company also boasts that the Zero is the only fully electric zero-turn rider, which is controlled by a steering wheel and patented four-wheel steering technology.

Customers who buy the Zero will get benefits such as zero engine noise, zero gasoline, zero filters to change, zero belts to change, zero engine heat, zero oil, zero engine maintenance and much more.
