A Redditor and the r/MonsterHunter community recently uploaded a video that teaches gamers how to hit the massive 'Fatalis' creature's head using a lance sword in the hit role-playing game, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. The black dragon is one of the formidable dangers in the game, giving players only limited chances to attack.

The monster 'Fatalis' proves to be one of the fiercest opponents in the game series; however, a Redditor shares his method in defeating the black dragon. The creature throws nasty fireballs at the player's character, making it one of the most untouchable opponent, mostly giving a hard time to gamers.

According to Monster Hunter's Fandom, Fatalis is the dragon who brought down the entire kingdom in a single night. The black dragon's sacred castle proves a challenge for the gamer to approach, much more face-off with the dragon that defeated an entire army.

How to Hit the Fatalis' Head, according to a Redditor

Redditor, u/Panabra, recently posted a video on the r/MonsterHunter community under the classification of 'Iceborne.' He explains that the method players should adapt 'turn-based' and should create a deliberate strategy. Turn-based in most games means that players should not hastily attack the opponent.

Creating a strategy to fend of the Fatalis can help users win the game. Only its head can deal the most damage and defeat the dragon in the world of Monster Hunter. The black dragon is known for its ferocity and the multiple fireballs it creates to defend itself and defeat the gamer.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne may be tricky to the gamers, especially with the big boss Fatalis residing in the Castle Shrade. However, there is a way to defeat and evade destruction. According to the Redditor, once the monster is hit, it will unleash fireballs or a random attack, one which players should look out for.

Once the monster retreats after its attack, gamers should go for the dragon and attack with heavy strikes, particularly a 'Flinch' shot to get Fatalis to lower its head. Once the dragon flinches and lowers its head, players can now attack its head and significantly deal damage against the monster.

Lance Weapon

Redditor u/Panabra was using a 'lance,' a massive long sword that is mostly used in horse riding sports and jousting the enemy to fall off his ride. The medieval weapon is the least favorite and used sword in most game series, including the particular title.

However, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is popularizing the long weapon as an offensive and high-damaging choice for gamers. According to Game With, Lances are weapons of precision with extraordinary blocking powers, making it a perfect choice against the monstrous Fatalis.

Monster Hunter Series

Monster Hunter is a Japanese video game series initially seeing its debut on March 2004 for Sony's PlayStation 2. After its initial success, its developer, Capcom, made the game widely available to various platforms such as Xbox, Microsoft Windows, and Steam.

The game's Iceborne expansion pack for the Monster Hunter World was released last September 2019, only a year old in the present. Since then, the game received mixed reactions with Steam Ratings of 6/10 and Google users rating it 92 percent.

Capcom does not intend to stop the game's development and will continue to release two new titles, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin for the Nintendo Switch and Monster Hunter Rise for cross platforms, both available in Spring and Summer 2021, respectively.
