After the success of "Red Dead Redemption 2," the creators, Rockstar Games, will reportedly be taking an even more incremental approach towards its expected future projects. This means that just like the "Red Dead Redemption 2," the large scale productions might also not release all at once just like what fans expected but instead, come out in pieces.

Rockstar games switched up game development due to the coronavirus

According to a story by GameRant, this is enough hope for an upcoming "Grand Theft Auto 6" meaning that the game could actually look quite different compared to the other known Rockstar titles. Roger Clark, the Arthur Morgan's actor who has already spent about five years working on the Rockstar Games' popular open world western game, expressed his own genuine cautious hope with regards to Rockstar Games' new approach to development.

Obviously the risks are high when messing with the popularly established formula of releasing complete games but with "Grand Theft Auto 6's" release date still far out, this could mean that fans might have to wait and see how it rolls out in the long-term. However, this is still a good look for Rockstar Games as it is trying to make the necessary changes that will be better for the lives of its own employees despite the possibility of releasing their games in certain far different states.

Rockstar Games' new approach could be catching on for some gamers

In the recent months and the recent years, Rockstar Games has been shifting and changing a lot of aspects of its management in order for it to be able to help mitigate crunch. These include more flexible scheduling plans for the Rockstar Games' developers in order for them to establish better work hours.

According to another rumor by GameRant, the potential outcome of the most-awaited "Grand Theft Auto 6" could actually result in the game receiving separate branches including a single-player mode and a multiplayer mode. Obviously, due to the long wait paired with the previous success of the franchise, the upcoming version of the said "Grand Theft Auto Online" would gain even more attention, but the unorthodox approach of little by little adding smaller chunks of the story could also be an interesting approach.

Official release date might be announced in 2021

After all, fans have already been asking for another "Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC" for about quite some time now. Harkening back to the previous Episodes of Liberty City DLC for the previous "Grand Theft Auto 4", it could be possible that "Grand Theft Auto's" main story could even be split into different chapters as well as character arcs.

According to the Express UK, there is another rumor circulating that the announcement of the upcoming Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto VI" could come in 2021. This would mean that the new "GTA 6" could still be a couple of years away.
