"Monster Hunter: World" is rolling out maybe one of the best characters to ever hold a weapon and slay monsters, Milla Jovovich! For those that have seen the trailer regarding the movie, although pretty exciting, it does not technically scream out "Monster Hunter".

'Monster Hunter: World' update

According to an article by The Verge, the game does not really look like the "most faithful adaptation" of the powerful game as it is more centered around the US Army Soldier Milla Jovovich gun-toting her way around but this does not seem like an obstacle for Capcom in engaging in some classic cross-promotion. The new downloadable content or DLC will be based on the movie "Monster Hunger World: Iceborn" will be launching next month.

This upcoming DLC is stated to allow players to make their way through a two-part event quest that will be featuring both the Greater Rathalos and the Black Diablos which are two powerful monsters that will come to the movie. These monsters will be found in the game along with some special bonus items for players.

New Milla Jovovich character

There will also be a new player skin that should be based on Jovovich's own character known as Captain Artemis courtesy of the "Monster Hunter" official Twitter announcement. This might be the best way to make the game and the movie more in line with each other in order to justify the movie not being based on the game.

The themed content is expected to come to "Monster Hunter Iceborne" this upcoming December 4 before the movie is expected to premiere in the United States on December 25, Christmas. The all-new "Monster Hunter" game called "Monster Hunter" rise is now being released exclusively on the known Nintendo Switch on March 26.

'Monster Hunter' movie gets Tony Jaa

This move by Capcom is pretty smart in order to promote both the game and the movie at the same time. Although "Monster Hunter" has been huge ever since it was on the PSP, the game is now met with a few strong contenders. Will the nostalgia brought by the movie be able to restore Monster Hunter to its former glory?

Milla Jovovich is one of the most popular female action stars and ever since her involvement in the Resident Evil franchise, fans automatically know her as a presence to be reckoned in the movie. The upcoming movie will also bring another huge action star from Thailand, Tony Jaa.

Tony Jaa is popular for his muay thai action films called Ong Bak which is not only popular in Thailand but also to other martial arts enthusiasts. As of the moment, only Milla Jovovich is coming to the game but it is still exciting to see what type of role Tony Jaa will take place in the movie.
