Bluepoint's "Demon's Souls" was initially released for PlayStation 3, but as Sony's next-generation console came out, PS5 owners were delighted to know a remake has been made, and it's been as faithful to the original as possible.

There are small changes and some downloadable content, but they really didn't matter that much.

Here are some of the best weapons you can choose for your "Demon's Souls" hero.

Choosing Your 'Demon's Souls' Weapon

As with the original "Demon's Souls," players of the Remake had to think twice about the weapons and armors they are equipping their heroes with as this is pivotal to their gameplay, either making it easy for them to beat the game or real easy for their characters to die.

There are different choices for weapons, and it could impact your gameplay.

For example, you can choose to become a melee character, fighting enemies in close combats with a bunch of different weapons, or you can play as an archer or even a magic caster if that's what you're best at.

Most of the time, it depends on your gameplay and what makes you comfortable, so there will be a lot of experimenting when you're playing games such as "Demon's Souls" Remake.

Nonetheless, here are some of the best weapons in the game and the locations:

Uchigatana

First on the list is a katana known as Uchigatana, one of the first katanas readily available in "Demons Souls." Compared to other weapons of its type, Uchigatana does less damage, but it's better to use as it does not deal any damage to the wielder.

You can choose any updates between Crescent, Sharp, or Mercury, depending on your gameplay.

To get the Uchigatana, you need to beat the Vanguard in area 4-1 or by locating an illusionary wall that leads to a secret underground passage. The katana is also a possible drop when beating Black Skeletons.

Compound Longbow

As per ScreenRant, the Compound Longbow is one of the most versatile long-ranged weapons in "Demon's Souls" Remake, and it's something players should consider having when distance helps you beat enemies faster.

When it comes to upgrading, the Sticky path is a great choice, but if you're only using the bow as an emergency weapon, straight base +10 is enough.

Players can also find the Compound Longbow in area 4-1, just beyond the first fog gate. Once you defeated the Vanguard in the area, go left and find the staircase leading to the top of the tower, where you can find a Silver Skeleton archer (which can sometimes drop the weapon). Beat the enemy and then approach the body next to it.

Kilij

The Kilij is a curved sword that deals significant damage and provides a bit more reach with its altered attack animation.

For the upgrade path, you can choose either Sharp, Mercury, or Tearing.

Players can find a Kilij in 4-1 as well right where the Vanguard is. Check the left side of the arena, right next to the well for the weapon. Sometimes, the Golden Skeleton can drop a Kilij, but it's hard to beat and isn't a guaranteed drop.

Estoc

One of the best weapons for damage is Estoc, a powerful piercing thrusting weapon that can deal a lot more damage when used for riposte counters or backstabs.

You can choose Sharp for scaling and damage-focused upgrade or try the Fatal upgrade path.

To get Estoc, "Demon's Souls" Remake fans need to go to area 3-1, and then go all the way down the area. Look for the corpse that's holding a Kite Shield and Fluted Armor, then destroy the nearby coffins that will unlock a secret pathway. Follow the path to find a chest that holds the Estoc. Prisoner enemies in the area may also drop the weapon if you're lucky.

Great Club

Another weapon for immense damage points is the Great Club, a massive hammer that can harm stamina and break guards. However, do note that the attack speed will be compromised. Plus, it will require tons of Strength to wield.

Go to area 2-1 to find a crystal lizard where the Great Club can be found at one end of the hall while the other end lies the Steel Shield. There's another Great Club in area 5-1 where it can be dropped by one of the enemies in the Leechmonger boss area. It's also a rare drop from the Giant Depraved One.

Claymore

Another Strength-based weapon is the Claymore, and unlike the Great Club, the attacks are faster but still deal some great damage.

"Demon's Souls" players can get the weapon from the Dregling Merchant for 6,000 souls. The Merchant can be found in worlds 1-1, -21, and 1-3 based on how the story is progressing. If you can't afford the souls, fighting Blue Eye Knights may drop the weapon, but as always, it's not guaranteed.

Falchion

If you're looking for a strong curved sword option, then the Falchion is an excellent choice as even the basic +10 can already be pretty useful.

For upgrade paths, consider the Mercury for a bleed-poison combination or Tearing for more bleed.

If you want to get the Falchion, start as a Wanderer class as it's their starter weapon. However, you can get it from Grave Robber Blige, who you can rescue in world 4-1 and is trapped in a cell. Open the cell by getting the copper key from the tower at the right of the first fog door. After rescuing Blige, you can go to 4-2, where he's selling the Falchion for 1,500 souls.

Dragon Bone Smasher

This weapon will be extra massive that you won't be able to wield other off-hand weapons, including catalysts, shields, and talismans. However, it deals extra great damage that you won't care at that point.

The Dragon Bone Smasher can only be found during Pure White Tendency on 2-3. Once this requirement is met, go straight from the starting point until you find a crystal lizard. Then, head left, where the ultra-massive sword is hiding. However, the path may be blocked during other levels of Tendency.
