AMD, the company that has brought us high-speed processors and graphics cards and launched the RX 6800, RX 6800 XT, and RX 6900 XT graphics cards is now preparing for something new to present to the market.

Three new entries have surfaced in the USB-IF, according to the leak by Twitter user Komachi, and it pointed out to a couple of new GPUs. Although there isn't much detail right now and the information is vague, this is enough to get some people excited.

The entries of this rumor name the GPUs XL, XT, XTX, XTXH, XLE, and Nashira Point. But the key information is missing and people do not know whether the information points to the existing GPUs or if there will be new models introduced.

The RX 6800 XT carries a Navi 21 XT GPU, the RX 6800 carries the Navi 21 XL, and the all-mighty RX 6900 XT carries the Navi 21 XTX GPU.

This then would leave the XLE GPUs and the XTXH with nothing to carry, assuming that these types of entries are for the Navi 21 family. If they are for the Navi 22 family, there there is a chance that a pointer to the RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT would happen.

The same context applies to the Nashira Point codename, which does not have enough details so people can't say which family it refers to.

As a result of this, all people can do with this little information is to point out which new products are on the horizon. The RX 6700 XT's BIOS has already been leaked late 2019, and it pointed to some serious overclocking potential. AMD is known to announce its upcoming products at CES Convention annually, there is a possibility that they will make an announcement next week.

What is USB-IF?

The USB Implementers Forum or USB-IF is a corporation that is founded by the group of companies that created the USB specification. The USB-IF was created to provide a support organization for the overall advancement of the USB technology and it was also made to create a forum for its adoption.

The Forum facilitates the creation of high-quality and compatible USB devices. The Forum also promotes the benefits of USB and the quality of products that have passed the compliance testing.

The USB Implementers Forum states that most people confused the USB-IF with the USB Type-C, according to Arstechnica. The new and reversible USB Type-C port is usually compared to the mini and micro USB ports and it can be a bit difficult to explain the difference to people.

The port is described as a supplement to the 10Gbps USB 3.1 spec, but USB Type-C can also work with USB 2.0 or 3.0. USB 3.0 is now called USB 3.1 gen 1, that also causes some confusion. Some laptops can use the USB Power Delivery spec to replace the power ports, but this won't be the case all the time.

If you have a laptop or a desktop, you can check out its USB ports. You may see some markings placed right next to the USB ports, the markings are one of the ways that USB-IF tells its users of the capabilities of the ports.
