One of the most well-known characters throughout the lengthy story of "The Witcher 3" is Phillip Strenger, who is also known as The Bloody Baron.

You may meet him during the Velen section of the game. He shares a fractious relationship with his wife and daughter. In the quest called Family Matters, you will need to help The Baron to find his family. His daughter Tamara has become a Witch Hunter and his wife Anna is looking after orphans and has become a servant for the Crones.

So how does this end? Here's all the possible ending for this character:

The Baron takes Anna to the Blue Mountains

The Baron's story has no heroes nor villains. Keep in mind that there won't be a really good ending. Getting this type of ending would depend on your decision during The Whispering Hillock quest. You can choose between freeing the ghost in the tree or killing it.

If you go for the kill option, you will get the Blue Mountains conclusion. But it is still possible to free the spirit and still get this type of ending. You will need to complete the quest before it becomes a part of the main questline.

This means you will need to go to the Ancient Oak, head into the cave that runs under the tree and find the spirit. This type of method does not change the fate of The Baron as it is just an alternative.

During Return to Crookback Bog, Geralt and The Baron go to get Anna from the Crones. Once you get there, you will find her in a crazed state as a result of your actions. After Tamara agrees to let him go, The Baron takes Anna.

The Baron dies

For The Baron to die after Return to Crookback Bog, all that you will need to do is to release the spirit in the tree during the main questline. While this decision can kill The Baron, you can still affect how it plays out.

If you have freed the spirit, you will meet Anna again and she will be in the form of a water hag. A godling named Johnny will reveal that it was the Crones who cursed Anna, so you can change her back.

Lifting the curse

In order to lift the curse, you will have to grab the doll that the Crones created for Anna. There are four dolls all in all: a doll with bird feathers, one with a red bead, one with a human ear and one with a violet hollyhock bloom.

The one that you should get is the doll with a violet hollyhock bloom because it is Anna's favorite flower. If you choose the right doll, Anna will be turned back into a human being but since the curse is tied to her life, she will die if the curse is lifted. But she can say goodbye to The Baron and her daughter.

If you choose the wrong doll, she will burst into flames and will die in agony while her family watches in horror.

Aftermath

Regardless of how Anna dies, you will have to go back to Crow's Perch in order to collect your payment. Once you are there, you find The Baron in the middle of the courtyard swinging from a tree, indicating that he ended his life due to grief, regret and inebriation.
