A couple of months after the launch of the Sony PlayStation 5, many gamers are still trying to get their hands on a console, especially in the United Kingdom, due to the lack of supply and the high demand for units.

Smyths updated its followers that they won't have any PS5 restocks for the rest of the month.

Smyths Has No PS5 Stocks

According to the Daily Express, most of the numbers of PS5 in the UK are limited to the resellers, which may or may not sell the consoles at a higher price than their original retail value, but there appear to be rumors of a big restock happening sometime this week.

Nevertheless, one retailer will definitely not be restocking this week, as per the report, and that is Smyths.

The retailer has made an announcement a few days ago saying that they won't be making any restocks for the rest of January after they have posted a limited number of available PS5 consoles last week.

According to the retailer, they have allocated all of the limited stocks they have to their customers who still haven't completed their PS5 pre-order from them.

"All PlayStation 5 stock is now allocated. Our next available date is February 2021," the retailer wrote on their website, so anyone who wanted to get the console from them is aware of when they can most likely get a console from the retailer.

Nevertheless, it seems like Smyths will be able to have PS5 restocks in February, so if you are not able to secure one this month, you'll know to keep an eye out for Smyths.

Possible PS5 Restocks This Week

For now, you'll also want to check out major retailers in the UK for possible restocks since rumors are going around that there will be massive PS5 restocks happening this week, including GAME, which is one of the best sources of next-gen consoles.

However, most of the units available are Microsoft's Xbox Series X and Series S, which have been lasting longer on the sites compared to PS5, but the consoles are still selling rather quickly.

Based on the rumor, GAME, Tesco, and BT will be updating gamers anytime this week, possibly of more PS5 consoles, but be reminded that these are unconfirmed and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Some fans have also apparently seen hints of a pre-order page from GAME that will be going live this week.

Checking Major Retailers

Meanwhile, a PS5 stock tracker has apparently given an update to its users to monitor other major UK retailers, including Amazon, Currys, and John Lewis, which are believed to be restocking by early February but are allegedly able to take pre-orders this week.

Most major retailers in the UK haven't made PS5 restock announcements, but some may do it silently due to the demand for the console and probably avoid scalpers and bots from knowing and hoarding every PS5 console they have to offer.

Until now, scalpers and bots are a massive nuisance in the gaming world as they go against legitimate customers and take their spots in order to gain an advantage over the demand and sell the units for a higher price.
