Audio equipment manufacturer KEF revealed its Mu3 Noise Cancelling True Wireless earphones on Feb. 4.

The new Mu3 was designed by the designer and visionary Ross Lovegrove - who has created projects under other large brands such as Airbus, Motorola, Issey Miyake, and more - and was specifically engineered by KEF's research team at its historical United Kingdom site. In a press release from the manufacturer, the new "true wireless" earphones promise to "earphones deliver pristine, high-resolution sound on the move and provide music lovers the freedom to hear every note, every word, every detail whether on their commute, at the gym, or on the sofa."

KEF's Signature Audio Quality

KEF has been established as a pioneer in the design and manufacture of high-performance audio equipment. Creating a range of products from wireless speakers, headphones to HiFi speakers, KEF is set to welcome its 60th year in the industry delivering its signature audio quality "as the artist intended."

The Mu3 is equipped with KEF specially-tuned Active Noise Cancellation technology, allowing the true wireless earphones to eliminate external noise without affecting the quality of the music that goes into its users' ears.

Furthermore, each of the Mu3 sculptural enclosures is fitted with an 8.2mm full-range dynamic driver, each tuned by KEF's engineering team to deliver dynamic and well-balanced audio. Listen to the coherent sound, detailed bass, and clear high tones with KEF's latest earphones.

Designed for Comfort and Quality, By Ross Lovegrove

Ross Lovegrove returns to collaborate with KEF once again. The iconic industry designer has previously worked on KEF's MUON loudspeaker and its smaller successor, the MUO Bluetooth speaker. Released in 2007, the MUON loudspeaker is a huge two-meter futuristic speaker with a shiny aluminum exterior. It was followed by the smaller aluminum Bluetooth speaker, MUO, released in 2015.

"Renowned for his innovative approach and flowing, sculptural forms, Ross Lovegrove brings a new dimension to sound," a statement from KEF said. "Through design that embraces both beauty and technological ingenuity, Lovegrove's ongoing collaboration with KEF is an exercise in aesthetic and engineering excellence."

As expected, the Mu3 designed by Ross Lovegrove features a sophisticated sculptural look that combines form and function. Aside from its visually-impressive design, the wireless earphones deliver quality and comfort to their users too.

Listen Anytime, Anywhere with Mu3

The true wireless earphones, aside from eliminating the hassle of wires getting tangled all the time, ensures a steady audio quality through their latency-free connectivity with Bluetooth 5.0. Furthermore, the Mu3 features simultaneous transmission tech, meaning both your left and right earpieces receive the signal from the device. In comparison, conventional earpieces use one of the pair to receive the signal first then relays it to the other piece.

Additionally, the KEF Mu3 earphones have their "Ambient Mode," which deactivates its Active Noise Cancellation properties with a simple touch of the button. The audio picked up by the device microphone will also be played through the earphones, bypassing noise reduction and allowing users to hear their surroundings better.
