A smart home company called "eufy" has been revealed to have a new product that has appeared in an FCC listing, showing new products in its line of a higher resolution Floodlight camera, that goes with the Apple HomeKit. The listing was spotted under the FCC's database and has not yet been revealed by the company to the US market as of the moment.

eufy is owned by the Chinese consumer electronics company, Anker, which has been the company's smart home division that focuses on integrating technology into regular households. The new device is a better resolution "Floodlight" camera, which precedes its original releases that contain full HD cameras for higher resolution and better recording for security functions.

The company's devices are available to be used and be integrated into Apple's HomeKit, which is a suite of devices that can connect to its Home app for better management and control, migrating all devices under an artificial intelligence tech. Moreover, being able to connect to HomeKit devices could potentially empower a device as the popular AI assistant, Siri, is there to provide help as requested

According to a German website called "Smart Home Assistent," the Federal Communications Commission of the country has a listing that holds eufy's latest Floodlight Camera with the name "eufy Floodlight Cam E 2K," that is for external use. The device is supposed to be having a better resolution than the regular 1920x1080p or Full HD resolution as known to the public.

The new device would be capable of recording and outputting 2K video quality, which shows a slightly higher resolution than FHD, which is at 2048x1080p, and the next video quality before the popular next-generation display, 4K. The Floodlight camera would serve as a dual-purpose video recorder, along with another function of providing a powerful light, even on rainy nights.

Potentially, the Floodlight camera could record better quality images and clips than its previous version, as it integrates lighting to a rainy night and dark situations, along with its newly-added 2K recording capabilities. The Anker-owned company has been continuously updating and upgrading its devices to match the latest innovations and technology standards for the smart home.

eufy has been creating several devices that line itself up with the Apple HomeKit and it proves to be an ideal alternative to integrate itself in the iOS-controlled application and interface. Moreover, several standards of Smart Home devices already require AI integration and other services like Android, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant to deliver the technology to households.

According to Apple Insider, this listing is not a sure shot in releasing itself to the public any time soon, as it could be an exclusive device for other regions, or maybe a prototype that is making its way into the market. As long as there are no announcements or reveals from the company, this device remains a rumor and speculation from the German who spotted the listing.
