"Genshin Impact" announced a new event challenging players to fight at the arena to earn Primogems.

Contending Tides, the latest arena event on "Genshin Impact," was first introduced during the release of "Genshin Impact's" version 1.4 update that occurs in conjunction with the Windblume Festival.

'Genshin Impact' Contending Tides Event: Release Date and Event Details

The latest challenge is scheduled to start on Apr. 2 at 10 AM and will last until Apr. 12 at 3:59 AM server time.

The Contending Tides arena event will introduce a new challenge with three difficulty levels every day, which players could attempt to complete.

These challenges are not limited to clearing enemies, as some may require players to fulfill certain conditions to receive all the rewards.

Players could start with the easiest difficulty, but those who chose and completed a challenge with the highest difficulty would automatically clear the lower difficulty challenge and gain all the rewards in one go.

According to the official announcement posted on Tuesday, Mar. 30, each challenge will enhance a character's specific ability and will be given bonus effects that players could use to maximize the character's advantage.

It is also worth noting the difficulty of the challenges will not be affected should players opt to change their World levels during the event.

Players with at least Adventure Rank 20 can participate in the event and must go to Dadaupa Gorge's Meaty Arena to enter.
