Not many in the IT industry have over two decades of experience with various companies - some even Fortune 500 companies - but for Navneet Gupta, it has only been the start of the journey. The established technology leader aims to delve deep into how important industries can benefit from technology implementation and is passionate about utilizing technology for innovation. Navneet has a keen eye for implementing systems to improve efficiency and convenience but also recognizes that, in today's world, technology is not just a set of tools. Nowadays, technology is also a leader in its own right, setting trends for how people conduct themselves and interact with the world around them.

How Navneet Gupta became an IT leader

Navneet completed his tertiary studies and began climbing the corporate ladder early on. Given that he graduated with honors from India's prestigious Delhi College of Engineering, job offers from IT companies began to line up while he was still in college. Navneet began his career as a Systems Designer, and within a few years, he transitioned into the role of an Engineering Specialist with a strong technical acumen in Enterprise Software Architecture.

His first leadership opportunity came as the Director of Engineering with FranConnect in 2014. During his tenure with the leading franchise management software provider, Navneet led their Mobile Apps & Enterprise Product units. Thereafter, he took another step to advance his career by moving to Sinch AB as the Vice President of Engineering.

Navneet's stint at Sinch was characterized by rapid growth and remarkable success. He led the development for Axiom, which is a first of its kind intelligent communications platform enabling enterprises to communicate real-time with their customers over multiple channels such as SMS, Email, Voice and WhatsApp. Listed in Nasscom's "Excellence Product Matrix", Axiom was deployed in more than 30 Banks and Financial Institutions under Navneet's leadership. The enterprise clientele managed by Navneet included noted names such as HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank, and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).

Navneet eventually went on to work in executive leadership roles for Bed Bath & Beyond and Apptio Inc., before setting his sights on making his own mark as an entrepreneur. As Navneet describes himself: "The challenge of discovering business goals and putting the best practices into play to achieve desired results is what has driven me all these years in leadership. This work ethic is sustained only by self-discipline and great commitment towards service quality."

Navneet's foray into entrepreneurship

Most recently, Navneet co-founded Verita Software - a company which specializes in healthcare IT services that use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist in decision-making and improvement of patient outcomes. The software utilizes proprietary algorithms and predictive models to generate insights about patient conditions, medications, procedures, and encounters. These insights are then analyzed for discrepancies, and used to fill in gaps in patient care and automate clinical, administrative, and operational activities.

Predictive analytics are a monumental advancement for many healthcare organizations, allowing them to estimate more accurately the likelihood of a future outcome based on patterns observed in the data. Furthermore, those organizations that can identify individuals with elevated risks of developing chronic conditions (as early in the disease's progression as possible) have the best chance of helping patients to avoid long-term health problems which are costly and difficult to treat. This is quite literally a matter of life and death in certain situations.

And, of course, this also has huge benefits financially. Predictive tech tools are now in high demand among executives of medical facilities who are looking to reduce variation and gain more actionable insights into ordering patterns and supply utilization. By understanding this data, healthcare service providers could reduce their costs by millions of dollars and minimize wasted supplies dramatically.

Verita Software is a culmination of everything that Navneet stands for - merging cloud computing with scalable solutions on a global level. The company recognizes the fact that while digitization is the way forward, the journey can be fraught with vulnerabilities and fragmentation. But Verita is the solution to closing all the gaps. And, as we have now entered the third year of the global health pandemic, it seems that this company has emerged at just the right time. While many were falling apart in this time of chaos, Navneet was able to look past the struggle and find the silver lining of opportunity that will also help people and businesses in a substantial way.

Excellence is not an act, but a habit

In addition to starting his own venture, the proven industry leader also accomplished two notable milestones this year. He has been selected for both the invitation-only Forbes Technology Council and the IT Leaders Excellence at Harvard Square. These are very distinguished and noteworthy achievements for Navneet Gupta. His expertise was also requested recently to serve as a member of the judging panels for the Stevie Awards - the world's premier business awards - as well as the SIIA CODiE awards.

His early and subsequent successes have allowed him to navigate the challenges of standing out in a highly saturated industry. That being said, Navneet believes that his competition or measure of success does not come from other people, as he simply strives to push himself to be the best version of himself that he can be.

It is obvious that for Navneet Gupta, there will always be a new challenge to tackle and a new skill to develop. He believes that one's achievements are a reflection of the combination of hard work, ethics, and dedication. Given his impressive list of successes, he is clearly an admired and much sought-after leader in the IT industry.
