With the rise of popularity of NFTs, the creator of the famed Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection has just bought the IP rights of both Meebits and Cryptpunks. After the purchase, the floor price for both PUNKS and BAYC were up by 10%.

Yuga Labs Just Bought Cryptopunks and Meebits

According to the tweet by CoinGecko, BAYC's creator, Yuga Labs, just purchased the IP rights for both the Meebits collection and Cryptopunks collection. To add, Meebits increased by more than 23% in the last 24 hours.

With BAYC's acquisition, a large number of the top NFTs have also increased in volume. The CoinGecko tweet announced the list, including the top NFT projects based on market cap.

What are Yugo Labs Plans for Cryptopunks and Meebits

As per the announcement by Yugo Labs, they have just bought out both Cryptopunks and Meebits collections from its initial owners, Larva Labs. As announced, the first thing that the new owners plan to do is give the full commercial rights directly to the NFT holders.

This is the same thing that Yugo Labs did for the owners of the BAYC and MAYC owners.
