The U.K. anti-scam program was able to receive the support of Facebook and WhatsApp. Right now, many tech firms have already joined this new movement of the United Kingdom.

BT, Microsoft, and Google have already joined the so-called "Stop Scams UK." Aside from them, financial agencies and companies are also helping the anti-scam campaign. 

These include HSBC and Barclays, and other big fintech firm names. Right now, the members of the Stop Scams UK are working together to decrease the rising fraudulent acts of various online criminals.

According to The Sun's latest report, fraudsters and other online attackers are still using Facebook and other online platforms. They usually pose as members of the big tech companies and telecoms and banking firms.

Facebook owned messaging app WhatsApp announced a cybersecurity breach that makes users vulnerable to malicious spyware installation iPhone and Android smartphones. WhatsApp is encouraging its 1.5 billion users to update the app as soon as possible.

Now, the United Kingdom's latest movement discovered that the current scams are further growing. 

"This is a watershed moment for us and will bring new reach and capability in our work to stop scams at source," said Stop Scams U.K.'s Chair Ruth Evans. 

Evans added that the number of members of their movement is now rising, allowing them to improve their efforts when it comes to preventing scams. 

As of the moment, the main goal of Stop Scams U.K.'s members is to share their data and insights with other members, allowing them users and customers.  

Scams in Instagram Worsens! 

Aside from Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms, Instagram is also one affected platforms targeted by fraudsters and scammers. 

WCNC reported that one of the scamming campaigns rising on Instagram involves copyright violation. 

Because of this, security experts urge consumers to be careful when they receive an email about IG copyright violations.
