Riot is expected to deploy full visual and gameplay updates (VGUs) for "League of Legends" characters Udyr, Shyvana, and Skarner. The team, however, is also planning for other reworks for the game's upcoming Season 12.
Olaf and Taliyah to be Added to List of Character Refreshes
According to the story by Dexerto, due to the success of the "LoL" patch 12.6, the developers wanted to add Olaf and Taliyah, two more champions to the list of character refreshes.
Although the two champions have started to fall out of favor, the new update and reworks are expected to bring them back. According to August Browning, a developer for "League of Legends," the team is starting to increase their work within the "mid-scope updates."
Other past mid-scope examples are Xin Zhao, Sona, and Lucian.

These changes attempt to revitalize characters that have lost a bit of their shine over time, ideally they're something the players of those champs can be excited about!

Anhi and Janna Recent Adjustments Reveal How Changes Might Go
As per Browning, the new updates will still take a few months for them to finalize. The developer stated that the recent adjustments on Ahri and Janna are examples of how they are able to work in the space.
Browning then noted that mid-scopes for both Olaf and Taliyah are still in works. To add, Ahri was also brought back along with her much used buffs making her a powerful combat tool with the ultimate resets.
Potential Changes to Olaf and Taliyah Could Go Differently
Janna, on the other hand, was described as broken upon release with the Smile Top. Since then, however, the character has finally been mid-tier relegated when it comes to support picks.
Olaf and Taliya could be taking massive changes in a totally new direction. Olaf is commonly known for easy run easy kill tactics, as per Dextero, would "likely be preserved" but updates could make the character feel a little more modern.
Taliyah Changes Could Focus on Passive Worked Ground
Taliya takes a different approach as her passive Worked Ground has been popular as a contentious mechanic despite being different from other skills in from other characters. New changes could include making the skill detrimental at certain times.
Riot will be confirming the upcoming changes to the character in the coming weeks and months as word of the upcoming Season 12 starts spreading. August concluded that the upcoming changes are Riot's attempt to help bring the characters back to life after some of them have lost their appeal over time.

Riot is Still Finalizing Olaf and Taliyah Rework Details
The new move is ideally a way for players to get excited once again over the characters. August then clarified that there will be more to share regarding the upcoming "League of Legends" update in the future.
As of writing, however, Riot is still finalizing the details on how Olaf and Taliyah will be reworked for the upcoming "League of Legends" Season 12.
