Meta ‘Horizon Worlds’ to Bring ‘Voice Mode,’ Controls for Users to Have a Safer Experience

Voice chatting is punishing and challenging for the children and women that stay on these online experiences. The test of time proved that it would not need personal interaction to harass or berate a person, as these abusers or predators will do anything to exact their vendetta, even in a virtual setting.

The good thing is that Meta is now adding "Voice Mode" that focuses on controls for the "Horizon Worlds," the company's gateway to the metaverse.

According to a news release by Oculus (a.k.a. Meta Quest), the company is bordering on a customized control for everyone that uses the experience for their metaverse needs. "Horizon Worlds" features the so-called "Voice Mode" that will help its users to control their voice and mute it when they do not need to use it.

One of the many features here is the "garbled voices" that would help distort a person's audio output, and it would avoid identification and distinction from online predators. It aims to help in a safer environment on the "Horizon Worlds" experience, and Meta said it adds to the "Safe Zone" feature it launched before.

Users May Now Avoid Harassment in the Metaverse

Harassment comes in many forms and places, and it arrived at the Metaverse during its first public outing, as there is nothing that will stop these oppressors from doing what they want, even when it harms others. Now, users may avoid these treatments from being used against them.

Meta is promising a safe environment in the metaverse where people can socialize and have the freedom they want, which mirrors their lifestyle or gain improvement from it.

The metaverse is the upcoming place for everyone to socialize and do what they want, and it would be dependent on the platforms' restrictions or rules for the freedom that a user may experience. Many people doubt the metaverse, and one Amazon executive said Mark Zuckerberg's focus on the metaverse is a "distraction" to their ventures.

However, Meta is not letting this statement affect them. Their primary focus now is the metaverse, especially with the VR Roadmap that it aims to center on, especially with the many upcoming features. The company's leading program is "Project Cambria," a future venture that will improve the metaverse with the new VR headsets and hardware.

The founder and CEO demonstrated Project Cambria's device already but saw a blur on the apparatus.

Many people are joining in the metaverse trend or craze, and it shows as there are already those that launched their experience online, as well as many companies developing technology and experiences for it. Meta's new feature will help users feel more secure in the metaverse, especially with the Voice Control, which is one aspect of its improvement.
